Afghanistan cricket board has decided to delay the 2024 annual central contracts for National players,Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Fazal Haq Farooqi and Naveen Ul Haq.

Additionally, the board has opted not to grant them No Objection Certificate (NOC)for the next two years, following their intention to be released from their annual central contracts.

Former Indian Batter, Akash Chopra Criticized the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) for refusing to grant No Objection Certificate (NOC) to Naveen Ul Haq, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, and Fazal Haq Farooqi.
The Afghanistan Cricket Board’s (ACB) decision to withhold NOC’s for these Afghanistan Cricketers has raised concerns about their participation in the upcoming IPL season.

“The irony lies in the absence of contracts and opportunities. These players gain recognition not due to the Afghanistan Cricket Board’s efforts but through their participation in franchisee cricket across different countries. It’s a mistake to It’s a mistake to withhold NOC’s from them for two years”, he said.
“The players have emphasized that their livelihood comes from playing outside Afghanistan. They are told to put the country first, but it’s hard to do that when they feel like nobody’s looking out for them. Consequently, this decision poses a significant challenge for for three IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants(LSG), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Securing replacements at the last minute could prove to be a daunting task,” he said.
IPL 2024, season scheduled to be start in March, the unavailability of may pose challenges for their respective franchises.
