Dean Elgar who is 36 year’s old has confirmed that he will retire from international cricket following South Africa’s two match test series against India, which is scheduled to be held on December 26 to January 7.

The 36 year’s old Dean Elgar has earned 84 test caps since debuting in 2012 and captained the South Africa team in 17 matches between July 2017 to January 2023.
Dean Elgar has scored so far 5146 runs at an average of 37.28 and Captained the South Africa Team in 17 Matches.
One of the only eight South African men to pass 5000 runs at an average 37.28 including 13 centuries and 23 half centuries, as well as picking up 15 wickets.
He also played eight ODI Matches between 2012 to 2018, scoring 104 runs and taking two wickets.
